Application lifecycle management moves to forefront of corporate objectives

As a result of several major corporate computing trends, including enterprise mobility, cloud computing and generally increased dependence on technology, applications have started to become more important components of operational performances. Application lifecycle management is just beginning to establish itself as a common priority among businesses of all kinds, with integration and implementation considerations being the first matters to cover.

Growth in application servers is forecast to continue to expand at a rapid pace in the coming years amid more widespread adoption of certain types of apps and tools. For example, Research and Markets recently released its latest global application server market study, which revealed that this area of computing will increase at a compound annual growth rate of 21 percent between 2014 and 2018.

The researchers stated that application lifecycle management will be especially important with respect to bring your own device (BYOD), as mobile apps are currently experiencing the most growth in both adoption and profitability. However, the organization noted that several other areas of common corporate operational management will further boost application deployments, thus driving demand for the servers that allocate, execute, share resources, store and support applications.

The software development life cycle can be highly complex and challenging for many business leaders, especially those who do not have a firm foundation in IT matters. However, there is plenty of help to be found to streamline software product management, including tapping relatively novel solutions and service providers for integration purposes.

Microsoft Office suite remains one of the more popular tools among businesses, and new solutions can be used to streamline the integration process. By using these services, businesses will not need to stress about enhancements to application lifecycle management strategies, as integration and implementation issues will be quickly mitigated.
