What is ReviewManagement4TFS?
Review Management is designed to manage the Review and approval function of requirements. Users can ask for a response from one or more Reviewers on multiple requirements. Users can easily manage all of their reviews on the response page, including reviews initiated by them and those assigned to a user. Users can view the list of requirements in a review package and also view all the responses provided against individual requirement including comments by others. Responses can be provided against the requirements that exist in Review Request. Reviewers can respond in ‘Approve/ Reject’ and ‘Approve All/Reject All’.
Create Review Request
When a new Review Request is created work is auto-created at TFS. User can view the created work item of Review Request and description in the description tab of a work item. Users can also view the responses and comments given by Approver/Stakeholder in the History Tab of work item created at TFS.
User can easily manage all their reviews using defined folder structure. User can view the two auto created folders, My Requested Reviews and Reviews Assigned to Me. Reviews that has been created by a user for a stakeholder/Approver will be shown under ‘My Requested Reviews’. Reviews that has been assigned by other users will be shown under ‘Reviews Assigned to Me’.
Auto change State of WI
Users can select values for Pre-state, Post-state and Change State and define these as rules. Then, when all of the work items being reviewed reach a given (selected) Post-state, the system will perform an auto change of the State of the work item.
Response Status of Stakeholders/Approvers using Bar Chart View
Users can view the status of exactly how many Stakeholders/Approvers have responded to a review, using bar chart representations.
Initiators can close a review that has pending responses. After this is performed, the approvers/reviewers won’t be able to respond to such reviews. However they would be able to view them in read-only mode. Users are able to view the Reviews that are closed in a separate folder hierarchy named ‘Closed Reviews’ defined at the folder explorer. Close Review is used to close the review by turning it into read-only.
Review Initiators can send a reminder to reviewers / approvers to respond to the Review Request. A reminder will sent to only those approvers/reviewers who are left to provide their responses.
User can view all the responses provided in the Response panel. Response can be provided against requirements exists in Review Request. Stakeholder/Approver can respond in ‘Approve/ Reject’ and ‘Approve All/Reject All’.
Approve/Approve All: Approver can have an option to respond as ‘Approve’/Approve All.

Multiple users can send a Review Request to project stakeholders/Approvers, who in turn can view the requirements, provide responses and comments. Approvers have access to provide their approver on Reviews while stakeholders can provide their comments against reviews.
Maintain Traceability between Use case and Work Items
User is allowed to view created link of Review Request with work items on TFS, offering better and more granular traceability throughout the project.
Users can compare a Work Item’s Revision with other Revisions. Comparison is highlighted in work item pane enabling users to quickly grasp the updates. Users can either see the Summary or the detailed view of a work item.
Reason of pending reviews are that the assigned approvers/reviewers simply forgot. A simple email reminder a few days before is appreciated by approver/reviewer, it helps them to stay organized too.
Analyze work items in a Review
