4Function Enhancements
Several existing capabilities have been expanded with new functionality. The table below summarizes the most notable enhancements.
| Fonction | What's New |
|---|---|
| Rapport intelligent |
Work Item Hierarchy Drag-and-Drop Support
Up and Down movement controls have been replaced with drag-and-drop functionality within the Report Part hierarchy in the designer. Users can now reorganize supported work items more intuitively where hierarchy rules allow.
Report Part Context Menu
Rename and Delete actions for Report Parts are now available directly through the context menu. |
| Smart Docs |
Document Hierarchy View
A new 'Hierarchy View' toggle has been added to the Document tab to help users view document hierarchy in a Smart Doc. |
| Gestion de la revue |
Background Auto-Close for Scheduled Reviews
Auto-close actions are now handled by the system in the background, ensuring scheduled reviews are completed on time even when no active user is logged in. Requires configuring a PAT in the Admin Panel General tab.
Dedicated Administrator Account for Auto-Comments
Organizations can now set up a dedicated Administrator account for all automated review actions to support compliance and governance needs — including posting approval comments, updating work item states, and closing review comments.
Threaded Discussions with Comment Replies
Users can now reply to specific comments and keep related discussions organized in one place, enabling threaded discussions similar to the MS Word experience.
Work Item Approval Email Notifications
Initiators now receive email notifications for both work item approval and rejection — previously only rejections triggered a notification.
Pre/Post State Rule Clarified
The rule now applies only to work items that match the pre-state conditions. Work items not in pre-state remain unaffected and do not block the review action.
'Mark as Completed' Visible to Reviewers Only
The button is now shown only to reviewers for a cleaner, role-based experience. |
| Analyse des traces |
Horizontal Matrix – Tree View
A new Tree View tab added to the Horizontal Matrix provides a clearer hierarchical structure of linked work items.
Horizontal Matrix – Link Tree View
A visual representation of a single work item's full hierarchy — its ancestors, its position, and whether it has linked children.
Intersection Matrix – List View
A new List View presents traceability data in a simplified, structured format for easier scanning and analysis.
Intersection Matrix – Heatmap Visualization
A Heatmap View highlights coverage gaps and areas of high concentration for faster traceability insights.
Analytics Tab
A dedicated Analytics Tab in both Intersection and Horizontal Matrix provides data-driven insights into traceability and coverage. |

5Deprecated Functions
As part of streamlining the platform, certain functions previously available in MR4DevOps have been deprecated. These capabilities are better served by Copilot4DevOps, which provides more powerful, AI-driven versions of the same workflows.
Deprecated in This Release
- Simulation — Visual prototyping capabilities are now available — and significantly enhanced — through the Mockup module in Copilot4DevOps, with AI-driven prompt-based generation.
- Use Case — Now generated intelligently through the Convert to Use Case module in Copilot4DevOps, which transforms existing requirements into structured use cases using AI.
- FAQ — Consolidated into the Q&A Assistant module in Copilot4DevOps. Rather than maintaining static FAQ lists, Q&A Assistant enables natural language questions against your specifications.
- Smart Note — Among the lowest-utilized modules. Most teams already use Azure DevOps Wiki for free-form note-taking, meeting documentation, and collaborative brainstorming.
- Advanced Reporting — Smart Report now covers the full scope. For advanced documentation needs, the SOP/Document Generation module in Copilot4DevOps supersedes Advanced Reporting with AI-assisted generation.
- Impact Assessment — Replaced by a significantly more powerful experience through the Impact Assessment module in Copilot4DevOps.
